Which network(s) does the eSIM use?
In Australia, the eSIM will use a combination of Telstra and Optus, depending on the strength of the signal.
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a modern digital SIM card. You don't need to get a plastic physical SIM card and remove your current one. Simply activate and download the eSIM to have mobile data access in Australia.
Can I use it in other countries as well?

What about my WhatsApp? Will it change my number?
Not at all! You won't get a new mobile phone number, all you get is mobile data so you can access the internet and use all your apps - including WhatsApp - just like at home. WhatsApp is and will remain connected to your original mobile phone number, that won't change.
But now you'll have data access in Australia, so your family and friends can send you WhatsApp messages and you'll receive 'em like when in your home country. The eSIM just provides a data connection so your messages can get through.
Does it give me a local phone number or minutes to make calls?
No! The Easy eSIM Connection is an eSIM that will only provide you with data - a set number of GBs for a mobile data connection in Australia (or other countries you travel to). You won't get a local number and you won't be able to call landlines etc. However, you can make calls via messaging apps like WhatsApp, Signal or Element (Matrix).
